Motorcycle Accidents in Connecticut

Motorcycle riders face unique dangers every time they take to the road, especially in busy urban areas in Connecticut. Busy Intersections are frequent sites of collisions, often caused by inattentive or reckless drivers. When a car hits a motorcycle, the results can be catastrophic due to the rider’s lack of protection.

In Connecticut, motorcycle accidents are a growing concern. Data from the Connecticut Department of Transportation shows that a significant portion of motorcycle crashes involve other vehicles that either fail to yield or make unsafe turns.

Common causes of motorcycle accidents include:

  • Drivers failing to check blind spots before changing lanes
  • Distracted driving, especially texting while driving
  • Speeding and aggressive driving
  • Failure to yield at intersections

When drivers flee after causing a crash, they not only break the law but also delay medical assistance for the injured rider—often worsening the outcome.

Motorcyclists injured by hit-and-run drivers may be entitled to compensation through uninsured motorist coverage or by pursuing a civil claim once the responsible driver is identified. That’s why it is crucial to contact a compassionate Connecticut motorcycle accident lawyer as soon as possible. An experienced attorney can recover compensation such as medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other related damages.
