Bloomfield, CT (April 1, 2026) – Two people were injured and displaced after a house fire on Tunxis Avenue in Bloomfield on Monday, March 30. The fire started around 10:20 p.m. and affected the rear of the home before spreading toward the kitchen area.
The Bloomfield Fire and emergency units arrived and worked quickly to control the flames. Crews brought the fire under control in about 30 minutes, limiting further spread inside the house. Officials said the damage forced both occupants to leave the home.
Both individuals suffered smoke inhalation during the fire. Paramedics treated them at the scene before taking them to Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford for further care.
