Reconstruction efforts are ongoing as investigators work to piece together what happened.

We hope the rider recovers fully from what appears to have been a serious ordeal.

Motorcycle Crashes in Windsor, CT: What Riders Need to Know About Serious Injury Claims

Serious injuries change everything, and for motorcycle riders, the consequences of a highway collision can be life-altering. Fractures, road rash, traumatic brain injuries, and spinal trauma are among the most common outcomes when a rider goes down at highway speed. The financial toll of that kind of care can be substantial, and pursuing a personal injury claim is often the only realistic way to recover those losses.

Injured riders may face surgeries, rehabilitation, extended time away from work that affect their finances. Connecticut follows a modified comparative fault system, that is to say, a rider can still seek compensation even if they are found partially responsible for a crash, as long as their share of fault stays below 51 percent.

When another vehicle is involved, the other driver’s negligence may be the central question in any civil claim. An accident reconstruction investigation can produce evidence that a motorcycle accident attorney can later use to build a strong case.

Interstate 91 is one of Connecticut’s most heavily traveled highways, running through Hartford County and passing through communities including Hartford, Bloomfield, and Enfield before crossing into Massachusetts. Other corridors in the area, including Interstate 291 and Route 75, contribute to congestion patterns that can create dangerous merging conditions for motorcycles.
