What Are Common Injuries After a Car Crash in Connecticut?

Common injuries after a car crash in Connecticut include whiplash, concussions, broken bones, back injuries, cuts, and internal bruising. Even low- to moderate-speed collisions can cause physical harm. The force of impact often moves the body suddenly, which can strain muscles and joints or cause the head to strike part of the vehicle.

Neck and back injuries rank among the most frequently reported issues. Whiplash can cause stiffness, headaches, and a limited range of motion. Head injuries, including concussions, may lead to dizziness, confusion, or ongoing headaches.

Some symptoms appear right away, while others develop hours later. A medical evaluation helps identify concerns early and creates a record of treatment.

Broken bones and soft tissue injuries also occur in many accidents. Airbag deployment and seatbelt restraint can reduce severe harm, but they may still leave bruising or soreness. In some cases, people require follow-up visits, physical therapy, or imaging tests to monitor healing.

In these cases, a car accident lawyer can review your documents, explain how Connecticut law may apply, and outline what options could be available in your situation. Understanding deadlines and required forms early can help prevent avoidable delays.
