Old Lyme, CT – Serious Injury Crash on I-95 NB at Exit 70

Old Lyme, CT (April 10, 2026) – A serious crash left one person injured on Thursday night, April 9, on Interstate 95 northbound in Old Lyme. The accident occurred between Exits 70 and 71.

Old Lyme Fire Department and emergency units responded around 9:45 p.m. after reports of a major collision. Crews arrived and found at least one victim hurt at the scene.

The injured person moved in and out of consciousness following the crash. Due to the severity of the situation, a medical helicopter was initially requested but later canceled.

Paramedics provided care at the scene and transported the victim by ground ambulance to a nearby hospital. Authorities have not released further details about the individual’s condition.
