The Connecticut Department of Transportation received the first report at about 11:48 a.m. Troopers and local crews rushed to the scene to help the injured and control the area.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Police closed the off-ramp for several hours while emergency teams worked. The closure kept northbound drivers from exiting onto Allyn Street. Crews stayed on site through the afternoon as they treated victims, cleared damaged vehicles, and documented what happened.
