Bloomfield, CT (March 10, 2026) \u2013<\/b> One person lost their life after a house explosion and fire on Monday, March 9, in Bloomfield. The incident occurred around 6:00 p.m., along Banbury Lane. Authorities responded after reports of a powerful explosion at a residential property in the area.<\/span><\/p>\n

Neighbors said they heard a loud explosion before seeing flames and heavy smoke rising from the home. The explosion was reportedly strong enough to be heard from nearly two miles away.<\/span><\/p>\n

Emergency units arrived and found the house heavily damaged by the blast and fire. By the following morning, the structure had been reduced to rubble.<\/span><\/p>\n
