New London, CT (June 17, 2026) \u2013<\/b> A vehicle struck and seriously injured a scooter rider on Tuesday, June 16, on Williams Street in New London. New London Police<\/a> said that after the collision, the vehicle fled the scene\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The crash happened near 423 Williams Street at approximately 5:52 p.m. The rider was found semi-conscious at the scene, with a tourniquet applied to one leg. A pre-trauma alert was requested by EMS ahead of transport to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital.<\/span><\/p>\n

The vehicle that struck the scooter initially left the scene. The driver reportedly returned later. No identities had been released at the time of this report.<\/span><\/p>\n
