Hartford, CT (June 27, 2026) \u2013<\/b> A woman died on Saturday morning, June 27, after a driver struck her on Ledyard Street in Hartford and fled without stopping.<\/span><\/p>\n

Emergency units arrived around 3:50 a.m. near the stretch of Ledyard Street south of Wawarme Avenue and found her lying in the roadway with life-threatening injuries. They took her to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead. <\/span>Officials identified the pedestrian as Keyshia M. Ortiz-Benitez, 31.<\/span><\/p>\n

After the crash, the driver left the scene heading southbound. Police had not released the vehicle\u2019s make or model at the time of this report.<\/span><\/p>\n
