Granby, CT (August 17, 2025) – On August 14, one person was hospitalized after being extricated from a vehicle following a two-car crash in Granby, according to local authorities.
Granby police said multiple 911 calls came in around 5:15 p.m. reporting a collision with injuries at the intersection of West Granby Road and Barn Door Hills Road.
Police officers, along with crews from the Lost Acres Fire Department, Granby Ambulance, and Simsbury Ambulance, responded to the scene. When first responders arrived, they found one driver trapped inside their vehicle. Firefighters worked to free the individual, who was conscious and alert once removed.
The injured driver was taken to Saint Francis Hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries, police said. A man and two children in the second vehicle were evaluated at the scene but did not report any injuries.
Authorities confirmed the crash remains under investigation.
