Connecticut Car Accidents

Driving in Connecticut can be unpredictable. From the busy flow of traffic on I-95 and I-84 to the local streets of Hartford, New Haven, and Bridgeport, car accidents happen every day—and too often, they leave people facing serious, life-changing injuries.

Unlike minor fender benders, many collisions result in devastating consequences. Victims may suffer broken bones, traumatic brain injuries, spinal damage, or internal harm that requires long-term treatment and rehabilitation. Beyond the physical pain, crash victims frequently face emotional distress and financial strain from mounting medical bills and time away from work.

In most cases, these accidents are preventable. Some of the most common causes of injury crashes in Connecticut include:

  • Distracted Driving – Texting, eating, or even adjusting the radio can take a driver’s attention off the road at the worst moment.
  • Impaired Driving – Alcohol and drug use continue to be a major factor in serious wrecks across the state.
  • Speeding & Aggressive Driving – Tailgating, unsafe lane changes, and excessive speed increase both the risk and severity of collisions.
  • Failure to Yield – Intersections remain a leading danger zone where driver negligence frequently leads to injury.

If you or someone you love has been hurt in a crash caused by another driver’s carelessness, you may have the right to seek compensation for your medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other damages.
