Manchester, CT (April 6, 2026) – A late-night apartment fire left one person with life-threatening injuries on Sunday, April 5, at a residential building on Bluefield Drive in Manchester. The Manchester Fire Department responded around 12:45 a.m. after reports of a structure fire at a two-story brick apartment complex.
Officials said flames were visible at the rear of the building when crews arrived. Firefighters quickly escalated the response and worked to contain the fire while additional ambulances responded to the scene.
Rescue teams removed one victim from the building and began life-saving efforts. Paramedics transported the injured person to a nearby hospital for urgent treatment. Authorities have not released further details about the victim’s condition.
