Car Accidents in Connecticut

Car accidents at busy intersections in Connecticut can happen in a split second. Drivers often face multiple lanes of traffic, turning vehicles, and pedestrians all at once. When someone misjudges timing or fails to yield, a crash can happen quickly and leave victims dealing with injuries that disrupt their daily lives.

Common injuries in two-car crashes often include:

  • Knee injuries from hitting the dashboard or twisting the joint during impact.
  • Neck and back injuries caused by sudden force or rapid movement.
  • Shoulder injuries from seat belts tightening during collision.
  • Bruises, cuts, and soft tissue injuries throughout the body.
  • Head injuries if a person hits part of the vehicle interior.
  • Chest injuries caused by airbag deployment.

Even seemingly minor pain can grow worse over the next few hours or days. Knee injuries in particular may involve ligament tears, sprains, or cartilage damage, and they often require imaging tests and physical therapy. When an injury affects someone’s ability to walk, work, or take care of daily tasks, medical bills and lost income can add up quickly.

A car accident attorney can help victims understand their legal options and protect their rights. Legal support may include reviewing police reports, gathering witness statements, documenting medical treatment, and negotiating with insurance companies. With the right guidance, injured individuals can pursue compensation for medical care, therapy, pain, emotional distress, and time missed from work.
