Connecticut Motorcycle Accidents

Motorcycling in Connecticut offers an unmatched sense of freedom, whether you’re riding along the shoreline on I-95, weaving through traffic on Route 2, or enjoying the twists and turns of the state’s scenic byways. But every ride comes with a level of risk—especially when sharing the road with inattentive or reckless drivers.

Motorcyclists are far more vulnerable than those in passenger vehicles. With minimal protection, even a low-speed impact can lead to serious injuries such as concussions, spinal trauma, broken limbs, and long-term physical or emotional recovery.

Unfortunately, a large number of motorcycle crashes in Connecticut aren’t caused by the rider—they’re caused by another driver’s poor choices. Common contributing factors include:

  • Driver distraction – Motorcycles can be easy to miss, especially when drivers are focused on their phones, GPS devices, or other distractions.
  • Driving under the influence – Impaired drivers continue to pose a deadly threat to motorcyclists, often causing severe or fatal injuries.
  • Speeding and reckless driving – Excessive speed and failure to yield make it harder for drivers to respond safely to motorcycles, especially at intersections or during lane changes.

Suppose you or someone you care about has been injured in a motorcycle accident due to someone else’s negligence. In that case, you may be entitled to financial compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and more.
