The accident occurred around 4:11 p.m. on Interstate 84 in East Hartford. Connecticut Police indicated that multiple vehicles were involved in the collision.

Fire and rescue units responded to the highway after receiving reports of a multi-vehicle crash. Officials confirmed that all occupants exited their vehicles safely before crews arrived.
