Acidentes de pedestres em Hartford

Pedestrian safety remains a major concern in Hartford, where busy roadways and intersections put people at risk every day. Even at low speeds, a pedestrian collision can cause serious harm, including neck and back injuries, broken bones, and internal trauma. This recent hit-and-run is a reminder that pedestrian accidents can happen anywhere — even during a walk to work.

Common causes of pedestrian accidents in Connecticut include distracted driving, speeding, failure to yield at crosswalks, and poor visibility during early morning hours. Drivers who flee the scene after hitting someone commit a serious crime and leave victims without immediate aid, often worsening the outcome.

Victims of pedestrian crashes may pursue compensation for their injuries through a personal injury claim. Compensation may cover:

  • Medical expenses and rehabilitation
  • Lost wages or reduced earning capacity
  • Dor e sofrimento
  • sofrimento emocional
  • Long-term physical therapy and care
