26-Year-Old Killed, Two Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on I-395 Near Exit 19

Lisbon, CT (April 6, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash early Saturday, April 4, claimed the life of a 26-year-old man on Interstate 395 near Exit 19 in Lisbon. Lisbon Police and emergency units responded around 2:55 a.m. after reports of a serious collision in the northbound lanes.

Officials said one vehicle struck the rear of a Jeep during the crash. The impact caused the driver of the striking vehicle to be ejected onto the roadway.

Authorities identified the victim as Keith Mutch, 26, of Oakdale. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and a passenger in the Jeep suffered minor injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation.

The crash led to temporary highway closures in both directions, including access points near Exit 19 northbound and Exit 21 southbound. Crews worked to clear the scene and assist those involved.

Investigators are reviewing the events leading up to the collision.
