East Hartford, CT (May 28, 2026) \u2013<\/b> A five-vehicle pileup left three injured on Route 2 West near exit 1B was reported at approximately 9 a.m. in East Hartford on Thursday, May 28. East Hartford Fire showed up at the scene and requested three ambulances for two patients with need of advanced life support.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Three people were taken to the hospital. One of the victims had a head injury which caused a brief loss of consciousness and was transported to Hartford Hospital. The other injured victim sustained knee and shoulder injuries and was transported to St Francis Hospital.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The third person was brought to Hartford Hospital under basic life support protocols.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The cause of the collision remains under review.<\/span><\/p>\n
