Griswold, CT (June 10, 2026) \u2013<\/b> A man was killed in Griswold on Tuesday afternoon, June 9, when an SUV crossed the centerline and struck his motorcycle on Route 201. <\/span>Pol\u00edcia Estadual de Connecticut<\/span><\/a> stated that the crash happened around 4:14 p.m., approximately one-tenth of a mile north of Sunset View.<\/span><\/p>\n

The man was riding a 2026 Indian Scout Bobber south on Route 201 when a 2025 Honda CR-V, driven by a 66-year-old Griswold woman, crossed into his lane and hit him head-on. The 70-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/span><\/p>\n

The driver of the CR-V was hurt in the collision and taken to William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich with what are believed to be minor injuries.<\/span><\/p>\n

The State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad is assisting with the investigation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
