2 Seriously Injured in Crash on Main St Near Police Station

East Hartford, CT (September 4, 2025) – Two people suffered serious injuries Monday night, September 1st, in a two-car collision just up the street from the East Hartford Police Department.

The crash occurred around 8:00 p.m. in the 200 block of Main Street. According to Officer Marc Caruso, the vehicles collided, and one of them struck a tree following the impact. The collision left two occupants trapped inside, requiring emergency crews to perform an extrication.

Paramedics transported both injured individuals to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Authorities have not released their identities or further details about their conditions.

Police closed the roadway while the East Hartford accident reconstruction team documented the scene and gathered evidence. The street remained blocked off for several hours before being reopened to traffic.

The East Hartford Police Department continues to investigate the cause of this crash.
