East Hartford, CT (October 16, 2025) – Tragedy struck early Thursday morning, October 16, when a woman lost her life after being hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Silver Lane and Forbes Street in East Hartford.
According to East Hartford Police, officers responded to the scene around 5:15 a.m. after receiving reports of a pedestrian lying in the roadway near 463 Forbes Street. When officers arrived, they found the woman suffering from severe injuries. Police officers and firefighters immediately began life-saving efforts, but paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The Regional Accident Reconstruction Team arrived shortly after to conduct a full investigation. The area was closed to traffic for several hours as investigators documented evidence and reconstructed the sequence of events that led to the fatal crash.
