East Hartford, CT (October 16, 2025) – Tragedy struck early Thursday morning, October 16, when a woman lost her life after being hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Silver Lane and Forbes Street in East Hartford.
De acordo com East Hartford Police, officers responded to the scene around 5:15 a.m. after receiving reports of a pedestrian lying in the roadway near 463 Forbes Street. When officers arrived, they found the woman suffering from severe injuries. Police officers and firefighters immediately began life-saving efforts, but paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The Regional Accident Reconstruction Team arrived shortly after to conduct a full investigation. The area was closed to traffic for several hours as investigators documented evidence and reconstructed the sequence of events that led to the fatal crash.
Police confirmed that the driver involved remained at the scene and is cooperating fully with authorities. No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
