Bloomfield, CT (January 8, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash with injuries led to a temporary road closure late Tuesday morning, January 6, in Bloomfield. The incident happened near Cold Spring Drive along Simsbury Road, between Juniper Road and Cold Spring Drive.
El Bloomfield Fire Department and emergency units responded to the scene at approximately 10:32 a.m. after receiving reports of a head-on collision. Dispatch information indicated that two vehicles collided directly, prompting a multi-agency response due to reported injuries and visible smoke.
When responders arrived, they found airbags deployed in both vehicles. Smoke was visible at the scene, though officials confirmed that no occupants were trapped inside either vehicle. Medical responders evaluated those involved and provided care for reported injuries.
