Griswold, CT (June 10, 2026) – Delbert Lee Moore, 70, of Griswold was killed Tuesday afternoon, June 9, when an SUV crossed the centerline and struck his motorcycle on Route 201. Policía Estatal de Connecticut stated that the crash happened around 4:14 p.m., approximately one-tenth of a mile north of Sunset View.
Moore was riding his 2026 Indian Scout Bobber south on Route 201 when a 2025 Honda CR-V, driven by a 66-year-old Griswold woman, crossed into his lane and hit him head-on. Moore was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the CR-V was hurt in the collision and taken to William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich with what are believed to be minor injuries.
The State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad is assisting with the investigation.
