Hartford, CT – Pedestrian Critically Injured in Crash at Main St & Gold St

Hartford, CT (November 26, 2025) – A pedestrian suffered critical injuries on Tuesday evening, November 25, after a car struck them at the intersection of Main Street and Gold Street in Hartford. The Departamento de Policía de Hartford, Fire, and emergency medical teams responded to the scene around 7:45 p.m. after receiving reports of a serious pedestrian crash downtown.

Officers arrived to find the pedestrian on the roadway and unable to stand. Firefighters and medical crews moved in quickly to provide urgent care. Paramedics stabilized the victim at the scene and prepared them for transport to a hospital. Police have not released the pedestrian’s name, age, or current condition beyond describing the injuries as critical.

Investigators secured the intersection so they could document evidence. Police have not said what led to the collision or whether the driver will face charges. 

Hartford officers confirmed the investigation remains ongoing.
