Southington, CT (February 18, 2026) – Two people were hurt in a two-car crash on Tuesday afternoon, February 17, on Interstate 84 West in Southington. The accident happened at about 3:12 p.m. near the Exit 30 off-ramp. The Connecticut State police arrived shortly after receiving reports of a collision involving two vehicles in the ramp.
Troopers found the vehicles blocking part of the roadway and closed the right lane to manage the scene. Due to the nature of the crash, officers requested rescue assistance from the local fire department. Emergency medical crews assessed two patients at the scene and provided treatment.
Officials have not released details about the extent of the injuries. Both individuals received on-site medical evaluations, and responders worked to stabilize the situation before clearing the area. Authorities reopened the scene later in the afternoon.
