West Hartford, CT – 1 Seriously Injured in Car and Box Truck Crash at New Park Ave & Prospect Ave

West Hartford, CT (December 10, 2025) – A crash between a car and a box truck left one adult seriously hurt on Tuesday, December 9, in West Hartford. Police said the collision happened near the intersection of New Park Avenue and Prospect Avenue. Officers arrived soon after the wreck and found heavy damage in the roadway.

Emergency crews helped the injured adult at the scene. Paramedics then took that person to a hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. Police did not release the victim’s name. They also did not say if anyone else was inside either vehicle. No other injuries were reported in early updates.

Police closed the area for a period of time so they could process the scene. At this stage, officials have not shared what caused the crash. The Departamento de Policía de West Hartford continues to investigate the collision.
