Worker Hurt Aboard Sub Under Construction at E Point Rd in Groton, CT

Groton, CT (May 27, 2026) – A worker in Groton had to be extricated from a submarine under construction with a knee injury on Wednesday, May 27, at Electric Boat, located at 75 Eastern Point Road. Groton Police and rescue rushed to the incident at approximately 8:20 a.m.

Emergency units responded to Building 600 at the facility and transported the worker by advanced life support to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital. The person’s identity was not released following the accident.

The cause of the injury had not been made public at the time of publication.
