Head Injuries After Car Accidents in Connecticut
Car accidents are among the leading causes of traumatic brain injuries in the United States. Even low-speed collisions can cause head trauma, concussions, or other neurological complications that may take days to appear.
Victims in Hartford and throughout Connecticut face serious risks, particularly when their heads strike hard surfaces such as the steering wheel, dashboard, or windows during impact.
Common symptoms of head and brain injuries include headaches, dizziness, nausea, blurred vision, confusion, and difficulty concentrating. In severe cases, victims may experience memory loss, speech difficulties, or changes in behavior and mood. Immediate medical attention is crucial to assess the extent of the injury and prevent long-term complications.
When someone suffers a head injury in a crash, recovery often involves extensive medical treatment and rehabilitation. Physical therapy, neurological evaluations, and follow-up care can place significant financial and emotional strain on victims and their families.
This is why contacting an experienced traumatic brain injury attorney is one of the most important steps to take after receiving medical care.
A skilled attorney can help investigate the crash, collect medical evidence, and work with experts to prove the impact of the injury on the victim’s life. Legal support can also ensure that victims recover the compensation they deserve for medical expenses, lost wages, pain, and future care needs.
