Connecticut Car Accidents
Car accidents are a leading source of injury in Connecticut, affecting not only drivers and passengers but also cyclists and pedestrians. From congested highways like I-95 and I-84 to quiet residential streets, collisions can occur in an instant—often leaving victims with serious injuries such as fractures, concussions, internal damage, and lasting emotional distress.
Unfortunately, many of these crashes are preventable. Distracted driving, speeding, and operating a vehicle under the influence remain frequent contributors to roadway accidents across the state. Even so-called “minor” collisions can carry major consequences, from steep medical bills and time away from work to long-term recovery challenges.
Every day, first responders across Connecticut—police, firefighters, and EMS—work tirelessly at crash scenes to protect the public. In addition, statewide traffic safety campaigns continue to stress defensive driving, seatbelt use, and awareness to help curb unnecessary injuries.
