Connecticut Car Accidents

Car accidents remain one of the leading causes of injury across Connecticut, impacting drivers, passengers, cyclists, and pedestrians alike. Whether on busy interstates like I-95 and I-84 or on smaller neighborhood roads, crashes can happen without warning—often leaving victims with broken bones, head injuries, internal trauma, or lasting emotional scars.

The troubling reality is that many of these incidents could be avoided. Risky behaviors such as texting behind the wheel, excessive speed, and impaired driving continue to play a role in countless wrecks. Even collisions considered “minor” can lead to significant challenges, including overwhelming medical bills, missed time from work, and ongoing physical or psychological recovery.

Local police, firefighters, and EMS teams respond daily to crash scenes, working to keep Connecticut’s roads safe. Statewide safety programs also emphasize defensive driving, seatbelt use, and awareness campaigns aimed at reducing preventable injuries.
