Arm Injury Reported After Two-Car Crash on New London Tpke

Norwich, CT (October 20, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash on Sunday, October 19, in Norwich left one person injured near the intersection of New London Turnpike and Route 362, according to local authorities.

Norwich Police said the crash occurred around 5:19 a.m. and involved a blue Nissan Sentra and another blue vehicle. Responding officers found both cars with visible damage. One person inside the passenger vehicle complained of arm pain after the collision.

Paramedics arrived shortly after to provide medical care and evaluate the injured individual. Communication between responders and the injured person proved challenging due to a language barrier, but emergency personnel ensured the victim received proper attention before transporting them to a nearby hospital.

Authorities are continuing to investigate what caused the crash and whether factors such as speed, distraction, or failure to yield contributed to the collision. Both vehicles were towed from the scene, and no other injuries were reported.

The investigation remains ongoing.

We wish the injured person a quick and full recovery.

Car Accidents in Connecticut

Car accidents in Connecticut, like the recent one reported, happen when drivers least expect them. Even a seemingly minor crash can cause significant pain and long-term complications, particularly when it results in neck and back injuries, arm injuries, or other soft tissue damage. These collisions often occur on busy or high-speed routes where visibility and reaction time play a critical role in avoiding impact.

After any car accident, knowing what steps to take can help protect your health and your rights:

  1. Check for injuries. Make sure you and your passengers are safe, and call 911 if anyone is hurt.
  2. Move to safety. If possible, move vehicles to the side of the road to avoid further collisions.
  3. Exchange information. Collect driver’s license, registration, and insurance details from everyone involved.
  4. Document the scene. Take photos of vehicle damage, road conditions, and visible injuries.
  5. Seek medical attention. Even minor aches—like arm or shoulder pain—may indicate more serious underlying injuries.
  6. Contact a lawyer. An experienced car accident attorney can help you understand your rights, handle insurance claims, and pursue fair compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering.

Accident victims often face both physical and emotional challenges while recovering. Insurance companies may try to minimize claims, but having legal representation ensures your interests remain protected.
