We hope the injured adult receives careful treatment and makes a full recovery.
Truck Crashes in Connecticut
Crashes between passenger cars and box trucks often happen for clear, preventable reasons. Connecticut roads include tight intersections, busy commercial driveways, and frequent stop-and-go traffic. Those conditions can raise risk when drivers lose focus or misjudge spacing.
Here are common causes of car and box truck crashes in areas like New Park Avenue:
- Speeding reduces reaction time and makes it harder to stop at changing lights or traffic shifts.
- Distracted driving, such as checking a phone or looking at a navigation screen instead of the road.
- Unsafe turns, when a driver turns left or right without enough space or time to clear oncoming traffic.
- Following too closely leaves no buffer if the vehicle ahead brakes suddenly.
- Blind spots, especially for box truck drivers who cannot see smaller cars beside or behind them.
- Failure to yield, which can happen at intersections or when entering traffic from a driveway.
- Driver fatigue slows judgment and can lead to drifting or late braking.
- Poor weather or road conditions, like rain or glare, that cut visibility and traction.
- Mechanical issues, including worn brakes or tires on either vehicle, that affect control.
After a serious crash, victims often face medical bills, time off work, and constant insurance calls. A truck accident lawyer can step in to investigate the cause, gather evidence, and handle the communication for you. That help can protect your claim while you focus on healing.
