Norwich, CT – Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Being Struck by Pickup Truck on Rte 2

Norwich, CT (October 29, 2025) – A pedestrian suffered serious injuries Monday evening, October 27, after being hit by a pickup truck traveling eastbound on Route 2 near Thunder Donuts in Norwich.

According to reports from the Norwich Fire Department, the crash occurred around 6:25 p.m. when a pickup truck struck the pedestrian under unclear circumstances. The vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage, indicating the force of the impact.

Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and provided aid to the injured pedestrian before transporting them to a nearby hospital for advanced treatment. Authorities have not released the pedestrian’s identity or updated condition.

The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and cooperated with the ongoing investigation.
