30x The Insurance Company’s Offer

Why Should I Hire A Personal Injury Lawyer?

We get this question all the time, and it is one that I was just asked yesterday afternoon.  Why do I need a personal injury lawyer?  In response, I told this prospective client a story about a client I had.  And after telling him the story, our firm had a new client.

The Story...

I’ve been fortunate to have met many wonderful people over the years.  Add to that, in my profession, I’ve also met a ton of highly intelligent people…heck, some way smarter than me.

Oftentimes, I meet these people when they’ve realized that they overestimated their opponent, the insurance companies.  You see, handling your personal injury case should not be a DIY task.  Sure, you may be smart, but do you know all of the tricks, laws and pitfalls?  Unless you do this for a living, probably not.

I had a client, highly intelligent, former government employee, that thought they could represent themselves successfully.  And then it happened…a wimpy offer.  And no matter how hard they tried to negotiate, they got nowhere.

So they called me.  After discussing the matter, I quickly realized two major missteps taken by my new client.

Thereafter, my team and I set out to repair those missteps.  Within about six months, we were able to obtain an offer THIRTY TIMES (30X) their top offer to my client.  Needless to say, the client and their spouse were ecstatic with the result.

The Takeaway

The takeaway from this short blurb should be this…if you have been injured by someone else’s negligence, hire a professional.  Quite frankly, you can have be an MD, PHD, etc., and it simply doesn’t matter.  The end result is usually the same, unless you know this process forward and backward.
